Higher Secondary Education of the poor girls

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela said it.

We become educated to better understand the society we live in and to better adjust us to the people around us.

If we verify it in the context of the girls in the rural areas who study in the higher secondary level,we discover that they are far more away from the real purpose of education.

If we look around the society, we find the number of the girls going to schools, colleges and universities are bigger than the past.

Here we are happy to get the larger quantity. But do we get the better quality?Probably we do not.

In the rural areas the parents are not cognizant of their daughters’ study.

But they are sending their daughters to the institutions as they can carry their identity as college going students until they get a better bridegroom for their daughters.

The actual sceneries of the most of girl students in the rural areas are that they go to the college just to pass a jolly moment with their friends.

They are unwilling to take lectures. They idle away their time in the classroom by twittering and gossiping.

The most helpless person is the class teacher who wants the students to learn something.

He can’t use a stick to make them attentive and on the other side the students do not heed to him.

In this way the class teacher can never grasp the attention of the students.

As a result after their completion of higher secondary level we hear them to utter “I’m G.P.A 5.

A quotation from Claus Moser “Education costs money and so does the ignorance”.

Education costs money because you must pay for goods and services, books and instructions. And It will eliminate your ignorance.

The girls face financial crises during their study periods.Their parents are reluctant to provide them books, uniforms and other suppliments they require in the Institutions.

This sense of insufficiency discourses them to to be inattentive.

Among them there a few adamant girls who really Wants to learn something from the teachers.

They arrange their necessary things from different sources. But ultimately their all toil come to an end at the face of their premature marriage to a person coming from abroad.

The person also have false sense on education. They think that if their wives get educated, they might leave them in their bad times.

Or another thought might cross their mind that if they go outside of home ,they might fall in love with other boys.

Some girls who get involved in relationship and even become a cause of defame to the family are not allowed to continue their study and are forced to get married early.

All these barriers happen to curtail the opportunity of education of the rural girls.
